An anomaly. The top instrument is a falcon 5,000. Uses a high purity geranium detector. The bottom ways is called the inspector 1,000 which uses a bromide detector. Both of those instruments are able to generate a spectrum. Think of it as a fingerprint. Both these instruments can see whatever gamma rays are coming off the ground, from whatever natural or manmade radio radioisotopes are there. Each isotope has its own fingerprint, so the spectrum literally visualizes each fingerprint for each radionuclide in the soil. So if we found an anomaly, and i can discuss anomalies later, if we found an anomaly, we would go to the spot, and we we do use the inspector 1,000 and set the detector on it for 30 minutes. It is a long count time.
