The Plainview Independent School District School Board unanimously approved memorandum of understanding (MOU) agreements Thursday night paving the way to provide more college credit opportunities for Plainview High School students.
The agreements approved with both Wayland Baptist University and Angelo State University will create the Plainview Collegiate High School (PCHS) program, which will allow students to start their college career track as 9th graders at no cost to their families.
“Wayland and PISD leadership have worked together for more than 18 months to design this educational opportunity,” said WBU President Bobby Hall in a news release provided by the university. “I always find it meaningful when Wayland serves those who know us best, our neighbors and friends in Plainview.”
