Zac Brown Band announces date for summer concert at Fenway Park

Another concert has been penciled in at Fenway Park this summer with the announcement Monday that the Zac Brown Band will return to Boston Aug. 8 for its much-anticipated 2021 âComeback Tour.â But donât be surprised if additional dates get added.
The country rockers, massive favorites in New England, hold the record for sellouts of Fenway Park with 11. The last time the band swung through town in 2019, they sold out back-to-back shows over Labor Day weekend.

The weather is warming, coronavirus numbers are dwindling, restrictions are easing, and Massachusetts residents might be on the verge of experiencing an unfamiliar phenomenon: something to look forward to.
On Friday, masks will no longer be required outdoors, as long as it is possible to socially distance. By May 10, large venues, both indoors and outdoors, can operate at 25 percent capacity. By Memorial Day, street festivals, bars, beer gardens, and wineries can reopen. And by August 1, all industry restrictions will be lifted. (Though Bostonâs reopening timeline will trail the stateâs by three weeks).
Despite the fact that we are currently experiencing another COVID-19 wave throughout New England, concert promoters are optimistic about the upcoming concert season.
We are seeing Waterfront Concerts schedule shows for both Darling s Waterfront Pavilion in Bangor and The Maine Savings Pavilion in Westbrook. And, in New Hampshire, we are seeing concerts being scheduled at the Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion.
At this point, it is mostly country and classic rock shows, but it appears we may soon see some pop and hip hop acts announce rescheduled shows.
In addition to the shows in Maine and New Hampshire, it looks like concerts will return to Boston s Fenway Park this summer.

The Boston Red Sox have unveiled the summer concert schedule at Fenway Park for 2021.
The shows, part of the Plainridge Park Casino Fenway Concert Series, were pushed back from last year because of the coronavirus pandemic, and it s possible the concerts could be canceled or postponed again because of the virus.
NKOTB Performing Only 2020 Concert at Fenway Park
The Plainridge Park Casino Fenway Concert Series is set to kick off on July 16, with shows running through Sept. 14. The concerts, which were delayed last summer due to the pandemic, are still pending final approval by the City of Boston.
