a position of authority with security clearance and the federal government. you mention this was the seventh one. this investigation went back 25 years back to 1993. that has to be difficult. how does the fbi do that going back so far? very difficult because of the allegations that do not include an exact location or exact year. there is no place, no time, no location to do a crime scene analysis and even the witnesses that were supposedly there for the alleged assault have refuted the claims and allegations against brett cavanagh. heather: that includes real and kaiser, one of her old friends, a woman she alleges was at a party, she said not only does she not recall the party at all but she never met brett kavanaugh, never been at a party where he was present, they interviewed mark judge, they interviewed pj smith also allegedly at the party and
calendar. two people already interviewed that were allegedly at that party, tim gaudet, who hosted the get together and chris garret, another georgetown prep student who ford says she went out with a few months. democrats have pointed to the july 1st get together as possibly the same party where ford said she was sexually assaulted even though ford has not been able to provide a date of the alleged assault. here are all those three named boys and others at a house together just as she said. she said kavanaugh and judge were drunk and that she had a beer. at least two others listed on kavanaugh s calendar for that date have already been interviewed, mark judge and pj smith, plus leland keyser, who ford says was at the party. all have previously denied any recollection of the party or any incident. what they told the fbi is
one. so that s what it will be at play. neil: you know senator, we don t know much about what s coming. we have a good idea of who the fbi is talking to at this time. and that incident we don t know what came of that but we do know through pj smith s attorney, and he didn t know about the allegations at all. so refuting it to your point again, no one corroborating at this point, any of the charges being directed at the judge. but something in the meantime that was concerning about the judge s behavior when he met with the senate judiciary committee last week, he was accused of some awful things so a lot of people to your point would say it was justified giving that response. but it seems to be the new wrinkle here in that part.
were at the party in question on that day, july 1st, 1982. reporters have homed in on that day as possibly supporting dr. ford s timeline for the assault, and it seemed prosecutor rachel mitchell was at least somewhat interested, at least on thursday. judge, do you still have your calendar calendars there? i do. i would like you to look at the july 1st entry. yes. the entry says, and i quote, go to timmy s for skis with judge, tom, pj, bernie and squi? squi. it s a nickname. did you in your calendar routinely document social gatherings like house parties or gatherings of friends in your calendar? yes. it certainly appears that way
senate decide whatever they want to do is okay with me and also the fbi. i think the fbi should do what they have to do to get to the answer. so we re now told the white house has given the green light to investigators to interview anyone they think is necessary. here s the catch, the review has to still be wrapped up by the end of the week. sources tell the washington post the fbi will not look into kavanaugh s drinking in his younger years or examine the statements he made about drinking during his testimony to see if those answers were accurate or misleading. the fbi has questioned the four witnesses the white house originally directed the fbi to talk with. those people include mark judge, patrick pj smith, leland keyser and debra ramirez. the judge and his team were
