Pizzeria Salvy, the new Marc Vetri new restaurant opening Wednesday, May 31 at the Comcast Technology Center in Philadelphia, is named after the chef's father, Salvatore, who will serve his signature meatballs. The pizza shop will serve speciality pizzas, salads, seasonal vegetables and alcoholic drinks. Pizzeria Salvy marks Vetri's return to the pizza-making business. He sold the Pizzeria Vetri chain to URBN in 2015.
Chef Marc Vetri's new restaurant, Pizzeria Salvy, will be located on the concourse of the Comcast Technology Center at 1800 Arch St. in Center City. The restaurant is a tribute to Vetri's father, Salvatore, and marks his return to the pizza business after a years-long hiatus. The new restaurant is slated to open this spring.
LaScala's Beach Bar will move into the space at 1400 Ocean Ave. in Brigantine after the closure of the long-running Laguna Grill & Rum Bar. The owners are the same restaurant group behind LaScala's Fire, which has locations in Marlton, Glassboro, Villanova and Philadelphia. The new beach bar will feature live music and DJs during the summer months. It's expected to open this summer.
