Police Nab 5 Suspected Cultists In Delta | African Examiner

Spread the love  (AFRICAN EXAMINER) –  The Police Command in Delta has apprehended five suspected cultists at Eyara Community in Otu-Jeremi, Ughelli South Local Government Area of the state. The acting Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the Command, DSP Edafe Bright, said this in a statement on Thursday in Warri. Bright said the suspects were arrested between April 12th and April 13th following intelligence gathering by the Divisional Police Officer (DPO), Otu-Jeremi division, SP Pius Eredei. He said one of the suspects identified as Michael Oghorume was nabbed on April 12th at his hideout, adding that his confessional statement led to the arrest of Timothy Samuel and three others on April 13th.

Gunmen attack bank in Anambra, hoist Biafra flags

Daily Post Nigeria Published Unknown Gunmen on Thursday attacked a First Bank Plc branch in Abagana, Dunukofia LGA, Anambra State, shooting sporadically into the air, dispersing bank customers and passersby. A source said the gunmen, numbering about ten, drove a black Honda Pilot Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) to the bank, and shot in all directions, causing panic, while also hoisting Biafra flags at the bank’s gate when all had fled. A source said, “They also set fire on a Nissan Pathfinder SUV with registration number UR 640 KJA and smashed the glasses of a Honda car with registration number FST 456 AC, parked in front of the bank.”

Cult clash: Police arrest 19yr old, four others over alleged murder of suspected cultist

Daily Post Nigeria Published Policemen from Otu-Jeremi Divisional Headquarters in Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta State have arrested a 19-year-old boy, Michael Oghorume and four others over the alleged murder of one Timaya (surname unknown) in Eyara Community. The Police also recovered one double-barrel cut to size gun, some rolls of electric cable wire and one cutlass from the suspects. Oghorume who is suspected to be a member of the dominion confraternity was arrested by the Police at Eyara Community in Otu-Jeremi based on intelligence on 12/4/2021 at about 0500hrs, DAILY POST can report. His arrest came sequel to cult clashes that led to the killing of some alleged cult members some time ago in Otu-Jeremi.
