Pittsburgh Public Schools is reopening five schools to in-person learning while closing 21 other locations, officials announced Monday. Parents with Pittsburgh Public Schools said they are thrilled to have kids back inside of classrooms. On Monday, the third and final group of students returned to Pittsburgh Public Schools.Latoya Punch is a parent and said, We are so excited. She loves being around her teachers, her friends, and just in school in general. It s been a struggle for many parents to juggle work, raise kids and help with remote learning. Some parents said having them back to in-person classes is a relief.Pittsburgh Public Schools had a plan to have children return in three phases. At this time, about 13,000 students are learning inside of schools. The principal of Pittsburgh Faison, Dr. Russell Patterson, said they are operating on a hybrid learning plan at the school.
