The Aspen School District sent a series of emails to parents on Wednesday morning after the Pitkin County Regional Emergency Dispatch Center received a call threatening students. The unsubstantiated threat caused panic among many families as they awaited updates on the safety of their children.
The new operator of Winter X Games is not releasing estimated attendance totals from last month’s event, although other data indicates that crowds were up from last year but still lagging the massive numbers seen.
