Multidimensional measures need to be considered taking into account local level poverty rate, population, unemployment rate, and others to increase the effectiveness of the relief programme against COVID-19, economic analysts said on Sunday.
They shared the observations at the virtual dialogue titled, Relief Supports and Agricultural Incentives in Response to COVID-19 and ‘Amphan’: The Effectiveness of Public Service Delivery’ jointly organised by the Centre for Policy Dialogue (CPD), the Oxfam in Bangladesh and European Union (EU).
The speakers said that raising public awareness about technology-based initiatives related to relief services is critically important.
