March 9th, 2021 share-square-2043476 The Pittsburgh Pirates today announced the hiring of Stephen Perkins as the Club’s Executive Vice President, Marketing and Fan Engagement. In this role, Perkins will lead the ballclub’s marketing efforts, including fan experience, communications, broadcasting, digital and social media, special events, in-game entertainment, community outreach, and youth baseball and softball efforts. Perkins joins the Pirates from the Washington Football Team where he served as Vice President of Marketing since 2019. While with Washington, Perkins oversaw all marketing, creative and business intelligence activities for the Club with a focus on deepening brand affinity and consumer engagement. He was an intricate part in leading the complete rebranding and renaming of the current Washington Football Team.
