America s Farmers gave four Reno County students agricultural scholarships. Local students Kira Bryant, Rae Groth, Piper Schlatter and Karlee Wiggins were each awarded a $1,500 scholarship from America’s Farmers Grow Ag Leaders - an award sponsored by Bayer Fund.
In the fall, Bryant will study Animal Science at Hutchinson Community College, Groth will study Agricultural Business Management at Dodge City Community College, Schlatter will study Agricultural Economics at Fort Scott Community College and Wiggins will study Agricultural Education at Kansas State University.
Grow Ag Leaders raises awareness of diverse career opportunities in the agriculture industry and provides more than 350 scholarships nationwide to support a student’s ag education. The scholarships, administered by the National FFA Organization, are available to high school seniors and college students pursuing degrees in ag-related fields.
