ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Maritime Affairs on Thursday submitted the Inter-Ministerial Committee’s report on the establishment of new liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminals to the Cabinet Committee on Energy (CCoE).
The ministry informed the cabinet committee that a large number of issues have been addressed after extensive consultations which required inter-departmental and inter-ministerial consensus.
Chaired by Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar, the cabinet committee also received a report from the sub-committee of CCoE on ‘Pipelines Capacity Allocation for New Terminals’.
Acting on the recommendations of the sub-committee led by Deputy Chairman Planning Commission the CCoE directed the Ministry of Petroleum to submit a formal summary to cabinet committee containing the final proposals for approval of the cabinet.
