PIP or Personal Independence Payments, are overseen by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), offering financial aid to help with some of the costs associated with a condition or disability. The payment is tax-free and can help individuals whether they are in work or not. However, PIP is not just a payment which is awarded to people with outwardly visible disabilities or health conditions, and can provide important support to a wide range of people.

PIP or Personal Independence Payments, are available to individuals to provide them with support for some of the additional financial burdens associated with certain conditions. PIP is designed to offer financial aid to those who are living with a health condition or disability, and can help with a number of day-to-day costs. The payment is tax-free and can be claimed by individuals whether they are in work or not. The amount an individual receives from PIP will vary from person to person as the benefit is based on how a condition affects someone, rather than the condition itself.

PIP, formally known as Personal Independence Payments, is designed to help individuals who have a long-term health condition or those who are living with a disability. The payment, issued by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) can help people with some additional costs which arise on a day-to-day basis. The amount of PIP a person can receive will vary according to their personal circumstances, as the payment is about how a person’s condition affects them, rather than the condition itself.
