Pinson council hears from local Miss Alabama contestant

PINSON The Pinson City Council on Tuesday heard from local Miss Alabama hopeful Lacey Johnson. The Class of 2018 Pinson Valley alum is set to vie for the crown next month in Birmingham. Photo by Erik Harris After taking last year off due to COVID-19 concerns, Miss Alabama is back up for grabs in 2021. Johnson will compete alongside 38 others from June 10-12 at the historic Alabama Theater in Birmingham. “I’ve known Lacey for several years and have grown very close with the family and I can’t think of a better example of a fine young lady from our community, we’re very proud,” said Mayor Joe Cochran during Tuesday night’s meeting.
