The Kannada film, âPinki Elliâ (âWhere is Pinkiâ), is set to the open the 2021 edition of the annual New York Indian Film Festival, which will be held virtually from June 3-13.
The festival, presented by the Indo-American Arts Council, will also be celebrating the birth anniversaries of Mahatma Gandhi, Satyajit Ray and Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose.
Director Ramesh Sharmaâs âAhimsa Gandhi: The Power of the Powerlessâ and Ajitesh Sharmaâs âWOMB: Women of My Billionâ will be featured as the festivalâs centerpiece.
âAhimsaâ is a tribute to Mahatma Gandhi and the filmâs screening marks the 150th birth anniversary of the Father of the Nation, while âThe Music of Satyajit Rayâ is a documentary that celebrates the 100th birth centenary of the legendary filmmaker.

Thiruvananthapuram: The 25th edition of the International Film festival of Kerala (IFFK) is all geared up to witness new filmmakers making their mark with their intriguing movies. Kannada movie Pinki Elli, directed by Prithvi Konanur has been chosen as one of the Indian
Panorama movies in the
International Film Festival of India (IFFI). The event is scheduled to be held between January 16 and 24, 2021.
It is believed that Pinki Elli has been chosen among the 29 Kannada movies, including Act 1978, Gandhi, and Illiralaare Allige Hogalaare, for screening at the IFFI to be held in Goa.

The 51st International Film Festival of India (IFFI) has announced the list of Indian Panorama films for the year 2020, with regional language movies reigning the feature section and having a significant presence in the non-feature category.
The nine-day film gala, which takes place in Goa from November 20-28 every year, was postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic and will now be held from January 16 to January 24.
Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar on Saturday unveiled the titles of 20 non-feature and 23 feature films, to be screened during the festival.
