The Kansas men’s golf team will close out their regular season at the Hawkeye Invitational this weekend, April 13-14, in a 54-hole event hosted at Finkbine Golf Course.
Clemson, S.C. Clemson junior Savannah Grewal fired a final round 71 and finished in third place individually at The Spirit, an international amateur tournament at Whispering Pines Golf Club in Trinity, Texas. The one-of-a-kind amateur event features four person teams from 20 different countries. Each team had two men and two women. Grewal, a native of Ontario, Canada, competed for the Canadian team. Grewal had rounds of 71-69-71 for a five-under-par score of 211. Her consistency was a big part of her success as she had just three bogeys in her 54 holes and at one time had a streak of 36 consecutive holes without a bogey. Grewal had 42 pars among her 54 holes to lead the field of 40 players, ranked second in par three scoring average at 2.83 and third in par four scoring average at 3.93.
