Neighbors oppose marina on Pine Creek Bay in Park Township

PARK TWP. A condo development on Pine Creek Bay that caused controversy two years ago when it was in front of the Park Township Board of Trustees is making new waves with marina plans that became public when the developer applied for a permit from the state.  Residents living on Pine Creek Bay are asking the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes and Energy (EGLE) to host a public hearing on the permit application to listen to concerns about the proposed marina s size.  It s too much for that little bay, said Barb Francis, president of the Baywoodlands Association, a neighborhood located directly across from The Reserve development. We want them to hear the voices of all the people that live around here and understand how they feel about this.
