More walk-in first and second doses available at Redmond mass vaccination clinic
REDMOND, Ore. (KTVZ) The Mass Vaccination Clinic at the Deschutes Fair & Expo Center will continue to offer walk-in COVID-19 vaccine appointments this week.
“It was great to see so many people come out last weekend for our first walk-in hours and we’re excited to offer more walk-in times this week,” said Molly Wells-Darling, incident commander. “Walk-in appointments are an easy and convenient way to get your vaccine.”
First dose appointments
First-dose walk-in appointments are available on Wednesday from 9 a.m. to noon and on Friday from 1 to 4 p.m.
Walk-Up COVID Vaccine Appointments Saturday
Walk-up COVID vaccine appointments are being offered Saturday, May 1 between noon and 2 p.m. at the Mass Vaccination Clinic at the Deschutes Fair & Expo Center. First-dose appointments will only be offered at the Mass Vaccination Clinic through the end of next week. Operations will continue through the end of May to complete second-dose appointments. Residents can choose a convenient time and schedule a vaccine appointment directly by visiting www.centraloregoncovidvaccine.
com. Pre-registration for vaccine appointments is no longer required.

Deschutes County to transition from Redmond mass vaccination clinic in coming weeks
First-dose appointments only through May 7; shots provided by health care providers, pharmacies, clinics
IBEND, Ore. (KTVZ) In May, Deschutes County will begin transitioning from the centralized mass vaccination clinic in Redmond to a distributive model, where COVID-19 vaccines are provided by community health care partners, officials said Friday.
First-dose appointments will only be offered at the Mass Vaccination Clinic through May 7. The clinic will continue operations at the Fair & Expo Center to complete second-dose appointments through the end of May. To date, 87,640 vaccines have been administered at the Mass Vaccination Clinic.
Deschutes County allocated nearly 5,300 COVID-19 vaccines for next week
BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) The Oregon Health Authority has allocated 5,295 first-dose COVID-19 vaccines to Deschutes County for next week. Vaccine appointments will be scheduled using Central Oregon’s vaccine pre-registration system.
The figure is about 2,500 lower than the allocation the county received for this week, because the state received fewer doses overall, according to Deschutes County Health Services spokeswoman Morgan Emerson.
Invitations to schedule vaccine appointments will be sent to eligible residents who have pre-registered starting Friday. Additional appointment invitations will be sent throughout the week.
More than 3,500 residents will receive second-dose vaccines at the Mass Vaccination Clinic during the week of April 12.
