Personal injury claim against Walmart filed after employee allegedly drops box on customer s foot

PINE BLUFF, Ark. (Legal Newsline) - Walmart faces a personal injury claim in Arkansas Jefferson County Circuit Court after an employee dropped a box on a shopper. The complaint was filed on April 28 by plaintiff Linda Urquhart, who was shopping in a Pine Bluff Walmart on May 6, 2018. Urquhart says that, while she was shopping, she encountered an employee who was restocking shelves. The employee allegedly dropped a box on the plaintiff s foot, causing injuries. Walmart is charged with negligence and proximate causation. The unidentified employee who dropped the box on the plaintiff is listed as a John Doe defendant in the suit.
