PEPENELLA March 2, 2021 at 1:00 AM LBI REGION, NJ - The Pinelands Commission oversees a local treasure, The Pine Barrens Byway is one of eight such byways formally designated by the state, and the Department of Transportation has designed signage that ties them together through the use of similar color schemes and other visual elements embedded in the personalized logos for each byway. The Pine Barrens Byway, is now a National Scenic Byway. Little Egg Harbor and Tuckerton Borough are part of 130 miles of existing roadways in the Southern part of the Pinelands. The byway travels along through Atlantic, Burlington, Cape May, Cumberland and Ocean Counties, including portions of 16 municipalities.

If there s anything the pandemic has taught us, it s that some of the world s most stunning destinations are right here within our own borders. To celebrate that, Scenic America announced last week the addition of 49 new designations to its America s Byways collection 34 National Scenic Byways and 15 All-American Roads. While there hadn t been any new additions since 2009, the prestigious list now includes a total of 184 byways in 48 states. As part of the U.S. Department of Transportation s Federal Highway Administration, the National Scenic Byways Program was established in 1991 to recognize roadways with notable scenic, historic, cultural, natural, recreational, and archaeological qualities, the Scenic America site describes. Comcast postpones start of new data plan to 2022 South Jersey residents will no longer have to worry about how much internet they use in 2021. Comcast has announced it will delay the start of its new data plan for residential Xfinity internet customers in its Northeast region, including New Jersey, until 2022. “We recognize that our data plan was new for our customers in the Northeast, and while only a very small percentage of customers need additional data, we are providing them with more time to become familiar with the new plan, said Jennifer Bilotta, a Comcast spokesperson. Under the new plan, Xfinity residential internet customers could be charged up to an additional $100 per month if they exceed a monthly data usage threshold of 1.2 TB.
