Police arrested a man after a traffic stop led to the discovery of an outstanding warrant.
Paul A. Gonzales was taken into custody about 8:20 p.m. on Jan. 15 at Honeycutt Road and State Route 347, police said.
According to a probable cause statement, an officer stopped a black Nissan Armada after observing it drift across the white fog line and into the bicycle lane. The officer made contact with Gonzales, who was driving the vehicle.
A criminal records check on Gonzales identified a warrant issued out of Western Pinal Justice Court, police said.
When Gonzales was told he would have to exit the vehicle because it would have to be towed, he protested and refused to get out of the SUV, police said.
