Biodiversity Special Seminar: “Realizing the Potential of Nature-based Solutions for Biodiversity and Carbon Conservation” Lian Pin Koh, associate vice president and chief sustainability scientist at National University of Singapore, will present “Realizing the Potential of Nature-based Solutions for Biodiversity and Carbon Conservation” in Guyot Hall, Room 10, and online via Zoom. Lian Pin is the first speaker in the Biodiversity Special Seminar Series. Nature-based solutions have the potential to address climate change and biodiversity challenges. However, successful outcomes may require careful consideration of implementation approaches, stakeholder interests and local contexts. In this talk, Koh will discuss the promises of nature-based climate solutions, while acknowledging their inherent limitations in practice.
