Khan praised the efficiency of the department and also mentioned how the incident reminded her of the strong law and order situation in the Middle East, where growing up, it took time for her to remember to lock car and house doors.

The Editors Guild of India on Wednesday said it was deeply concerned that Muslim women were put up “for auction” online and their images were shared via social media in a denigrating manner.
