but why should they trust a republican president and trust a republican nominee saying that comment 15 years ago is not reflected in the policies when the republican party has not done anything favorable to them on a policy ground? the gay rights question will not be the big issue in the confirmation hearings. it will be about israel and this attempt by the right to tar him as anti-really and perhaps anti-semitic. the guy voted to fund israel, voted to sanction iran and target hamas. and yet still people talk about hagel has the anti-israeli pro-appeasement of iran and not an option. you know what? i would totally agree that a strike against iran is not helpful for israel because where are they going to retort when they need to respond to that attack? lo
slightly different version of the dream act than democrats do that he s introduced. the question is, whether or not other republicans, who were not marco rubio, are going to go along with this. there was going to be 234 to 235 house republicans in congress next time around. are they going to go along with a dream act when they are getting heat from their activists back in their home states? lo look, the republican party can t just come to d.c. and do immigration reform. they have to go home on the weekend and when they do, it s like, have you ever talked to a republican party activist in iowa or arizona or new hampshire or south carolina? these are not people who are terribly interested in comprehensive immigration reform. there is an activist class that has a real stake in the party. let s talk about the political implications of immigration reform. what happenses if this issue is taken off the table? we wrote about that yesterday. i interviewed a congresswoman, a
plan for him. lo look, he can maybe redeem himself as a person if he doesn t talk about himself. that s what he did wrong. it can t be about him. he has to quietly give himself to a cause he genuinely cares about, stay in the valley for a while, no publicity. no oprah-like interviews. he has to do something good, not because it s good for his image, but because it s right. maybe he can never undo the nonjudicial verdict that s been rendered on him, but he might change some people s lives. if it looks for a moment, though, like he s manipulating this, he ll tarnish himself even further. i wonder last night, joan, whether he was really making a call out to rich contributors out there saying the lord s not by the way, whatever your religious beliefs, you got to wonder about a guy who starts describing what god s plans are for him. that s certainly a strange thing to start talking about. i think god would like to make his own plans, and he doesn t like somebody to basically predict the
people who have similar ideas to us. tonight, an ed show expose. the news media should do a penetrating expose and take a lo look. i wish they would. close to my lures and even try to take like little bites out of it. i know where they re at, man. the geese swim around for an hour or so while drew continues fishing. then, things change. no, no, you idiot. don t bite that. lo lo look. one of them decides to just kind of saddle right up beside me nice and quiet and this is where our relationship took a turn for the worst. drew is so focused on fishing, that he stops paying attention to the geese and just as drew sits back down, one of them pounces. this goose is on my back. i ve got feathers going everywhere and i have no idea why there is a goose on my back. next thing i know i m just in the water with this bird. drew flips over into the water with the goose still on his shoulders.
