Two friends appear in court for murder of elderly KZN farm dweller
The 74-year-old tuckshop owner was at his home at Holmbosch Farm in KZN when the two friends allegedly attacked and killed him.
Two friends, Nhlanhla Mhlongo, 22 and Sakhile Cele, 25, appeared in the KwaDukuza Magistrate’s Court in KZN for the alleged robbery and murder of a tuckshop owner and farm dweller. The pair have been remanded in custody until 23 February 2021 for a bail application.
Detectives managed to arrest the two friends on Sunday 14 February 2021 at the Doringkop area in KwaDukuza.

It is alleged that on 6 February 2021, a 74-year-old tuckshop owner by the name of Goberdhan Sahadew was at his home at Holmbosch Farm when the two suspects attacked him.
Stabbed Free State farmer shoots and kills three attackers
Free State police spokesperson, Motantsi Makhele says whilst three of the attackers are dead, the fourth assailant is still at large.
FARMER STABBED IN THE NECK AND HEAD BY ATTACKERS
Free State Police Spokesperson, Motantsi Makhele, says the four assailants accosted the 37-year-old farmer, identified as Pieter André Swart, on his Boskoppie farm at 7:20 in the morning. The suspects tried to gain entry as Swart was opening the door to his house, where he lives alone.
Makhele says Swart was stabbed in the neck and head before he reached out for his firearm and began firing rounds at the four suspects, who were at that point attempting to flee the scene.
