Thailand - one of the most popular destinations for travellers from the UAE - is getting ready to welcome tourists.
Pichaya Saisaengchan, director of the Tourism Authority of Thailand for Dubai and the Middle East, said: “At the start of the pandemic, the Tourism Authority of Thailand introduced the ‘Amazing Thailand Safety and Health Administration: SHA’ certification to elevate the country’s tourism industry standards, with over 8,000 businesses receiving the certification.”

The four-day show will be followed by a virtual ATM after a week.
Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2021, the first major in-person international travel event since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic, has officially opened its doors at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
The event has drawn the participation of 62 countries, and features 67 conference sessions with 145 local, regional and international speakers.
Held under the theme of ‘A new dawn for travel & tourism’, the 28th edition of the four-day show will conclude on Wednesday, May 19. It will be followed a week later by a virtual ATM that will run from Monday, May 24 to Wednesday, May 26, 2021.

Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) celebrated the reopening of its borders for travellers from the Middle East with an intimate dinner event, ’Get Ready For Amazing Thailand 2021’, at Benjarong Restaurant, Dusit Thani Hotel, featuring Thai-inspired remixes by DJ Bliss.
The event showcased a live cooking demonstration of Thai Massaman Curry which is recognised as the number one dish by CNN Travel’s ‘The World’s 50 Best Foods’, followed by a Muay Thai ritual performance, ‘Wai Khru Ram Muay’.
“We are excited to announce the reopening of our borders after taking all the necessary precautions. The support of public and private sector partners has enabled us to elevate the travel and tourism industry standards with the introduction of the ‘Amazing Thailand Safety and Health Administration’ (SHA) certificate, developing confidence among international and domestic travellers,” said Pichaya Saisaengchan, director of TAT for Dubai and the Middle East.
