Earth Day has passed, but the SSM Recipe for Health team is still focused on how a more sustainable lifestyle impacts our health. This week, Physician Roopa Shah says a more sustainable diet makes a difference, too! “When we eat more sustainably, we’re getting food that’s grown without harmful pesticides, additives, and carcinogens,” says Shah, “and it’s just food that’s more nutritious, and has more antioxidants, which is going to be more beneficial to our immune systems as well.
