MANGALDAI: A missing rickshaw puller of a Mangaldai village is languishing his days in a jail in Bangladesh even after the expiry of his jail term.
In its May 9, 2019 issue The Sentinel did cover the heart-rending story on the plight of Mangaldai youth in a Bangladesh Jail.
Two senior media persons of the district – Bhargab Kumar Das and Hitesh Hazarika – and Superintendent of Police Sushanta Biswa Sarma on July 20 write a letter to the Inspector General of Police (Special Branch) Hiren Chandra Nath and Deputy Inspector General of Police-cum-Secretary of Home Department Diganta Bora with all the available documents relating to the rickshaw puller with a request to bring him back to Assam.
