Police have summoned Techin Ployphet aka DJ Matoom to acknowledge charges for violating the Communicable Diseases Act and Emergency Decree by holding a party on January 9. Metropolitan Police chief Pol Lt-General Phukphong Phongpetra said on Monday that hotel CCTV footage shows an additional 14 people attended the party. The party was held at Banyan Tree Hotel in Bangkok’s Sathorn.

A physician at the Police General Hospital who conducted a test on two samples of seized powdered milk ketamine , found near dead victims on Tuesday, revealed that the tests detected the presence of four substances ketamine, heroin, ecstasy and a sleeping pill called diazepam.
Pol Maj Gen Thanit Jirananthawat said the combined effects of the various drugs, which together harm human organs, can easily be fatal.
Meanwhile, Metropolitan Police Bureau chief Phukphong Phongpetra on Tuesday gave an update regarding investigations into the ketamine that has so far killed seven people.

Five suspects have been arrested for the kidnapping of a Chinese businessman for ransom from a street off Sukhumvit Road in Bangkok on Saturday afternoon.
Metropolitan Police Bureau (MPB) chief Phukphong Phongpetra said yesterday the arrests were made by the Children and Women Protection Sub-Division.
On Sunday, an individual named Kriangkrai Jaikham notified the Children and Women Protection Sub-Division that Chen Lei, aka Lucas, 43, was abducted from Sukhumvit soi 39 in Bangkok s Watthana district about 4.30pm on Dec 5.
