Phuket officials mark just one road accident in a day
PHUKET: The Phuket Provincial office of the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (DDPM-Phuket) reported this morning (Jan 3) that for the 24-hour period for Jan 2, Day 5 of the Seven Days of Danger campaign for New Year 2021, Phuket suffered just one single accident on the roads.

The accident occurred in Thalang, and the person injured was male. However, no further details were given in the DDPM report.

PHUKET: The annual Red Cross Fair in Phuket Town will be held as usual this New Year, Phuket officials have confirmed.

Preparations are now underway for the fair, Phuket Vice Governor Vikrom Jakthee announced at Phuket Provincial Hall yesterday (Dec 16).
Each year the fair attracts thousands of visitors to enjoy the food stalls, children’s rides and take part in the charity lucky prizes that raise funds for the Phuket chapter of the Red Cross.

PHUKET: Phuket’s leading officials have set zero deaths from road accidents as the goal to be achieved during the Seven Days of Danger road-safety campaign this New Year, to be enforced from Dec 29 to Jan 4.
