‘Surfskate’ event held to boost Phuket tourism
PHUKET: Phuket’s business community launched a new tourism campaign on Saturday (Feb 20) to help attract more young people to the island as part of the efforts to help struggling tourism businesses to survive.

The campaign, Amazing Thailand Phuket Surfskate Series 2021 , was launched at Queen Sirikit Park in Phuket Town, with surfskaters taking to the streets – namely along Thalang Rd and Phang Nga Rd – from 5pm to 7pm.

PHUKET: Phuket officials have announced a slew of events and sport competitions to be held on the island in the hope of attracting tourists to Phuket over the long weekend today through Sunday (Dec 10-13).

Among the events to be held is the ‘Thong Fah on the Beach & Seafood Festival” on Patong Beach, organised by Patong Municipality together with the Phuket office of the Ministry of Commerce, Phuket Vice Governor Pichet Panapong explained at a press conference broadcast yesterday (Dec 9).
