Three days before two men were fatally beaten, RCMP officers dropped off Justin Bone, 36, in the city even though bail conditions prohibited him from being in Edmonton unsupervised. City police received a call from a complainant about Bone, and evaluated the situation based on information provided by RCMP, but "did not interact with Mr. Bone," the Edmonton Police Service said in a statement last month.
