With six starters back from a team that led the nation in scoring offense last spring, the talk at Hobart for 2021 was naturally about just that. Especially since the Statesmen were opening their season against a Mount St. Mary’s team that was blasted by 12 goals against Georgetown earlier this week.
So when Hobart took the early lead on Saturday with goals from Jason Knox and Bradley Simas it appeared the Statesmen were on their way. But then the problems you might expect from a team playing its first real game in a full calendar year popped up, and the Mountaineers were all over it.

ATLANTA - Sen. David Perdue, one of the Republican candidates in the pair of Georgia runoffs that will determine the trajectory of Congress for the next two years, is quarantining after coming into close contact with someone connected to his campaign who has tested positive for the coronavirus.
Perdue s campaign said that he tested negative for the virus Thursday but that he and his wife would quarantine, following his doctor s recommendations and the CDC guidelines. The statement did not identify the person who was diagnosed.
