Our CorrespondentKohima, Oct. 29 (EMN): The Middle PWD Colony in Kohima celebrated silver jubilee with the CEO of Kohima Smart City Development Limited (KSCDL), K Theunuo, as the special guest on Saturday on the theme ‘Remembering the pioneers.’ Speaking on the occasion, Theunuo opined that Nagas, especially the youth, need to change mindset in their approach and adapt dignity of labour. He stated that unemployment problem cannot be solved by the government and NGOs but by the educated unemployed youth. He asserted that a degree and certificate alone would not give person a job but by an individual’s capacity and capability. In this regard, he urged the Naga youth to venture in self-employment and be job providers. Theunuo also maintained that the youth could play an important role in fostering unity, discipline and for peaceful existence of the community. 70th Phom Day observed in Kohima; Pangnyu says present generation is fortunate

Our Correspondent Kohima, June 6 (EMN): The Phom Union Kohima (PUK) observed 70th Phom Day (1952-2022), also known as Peace Day, at the Kohima Phom Baptist Church on Monday. It was attended by the Phom community and representatives of the Eastern Nagaland People’s Union Kohima (ENPUK) and Eastern Nagaland Women Organisation Kohima (ENWOK). Chief guest of the event, S Yangng Angh, OSD to minister of Health and Family Welfare, implored the gathering to stay united, saying that there is greater things to achieve as a community. He also urged the Phom community to put their trust in God for peace, harmony and prosperity in every aspect of life.
