Phoenixville Fire Station, Montco Shelter Get State Grant Funds

(Shutterstock) PHOENIXVILLE, PA State funding for projects in Chester and Montgomery counties includes $1.75 million for the new Phoenixville Fire Station, $2 million for an emergency services facility in Upper Providence Township, and $1 million for a domestic shelter. The Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program grants were announced this week. The Phoenixville Fire Station will receive $1.75 million toward construction and infrastructure expenses as well as for related costs for community health, safety, and education. Projects include adding an office and support space and a six-bay drive-thru apparatus room and improving indoor and outdoor training capabilities.
