A new initiative between the city of Phoenix and the Maricopa County Community Colleges District Foundation is reaching more community college students than originally planned. Since the City Council earmarked $5 million in federal funds through the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) last fall, 818 students have enrolled in the Phoenix Promise Program.
