The Birmingham Farmers Market will kick off its 19th season Sunday in public parking lot 6 located at 660 N. Old Woodward.
Visitors of all ages are invited to experience the walkable outdoor market and shop for local produce, meat and dairy, artisan baked goods, fresh foods and more. The market will be open 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. every Sunday May 2 through October 31.
The Birmingham Farmers Market offers Michigan-grown produce subject to local growing patterns. By late spring, shoppers will find home-grown rhubarb, parsnips, herbs, early organic vegetables, strawberries, garden plants, zucchini, cucumbers, tomatoes, eggplant, peppers, basil, beans, mushrooms, turnips, kale, lettuce, green onions, sugar peas, radishes and spinach.
