As a husband, Dominic “Dom” Belcastro was larger-than-life, with an upbeat personality. He adored the girl he met in the classroom while they both attended Phillipsburg High School and she felt the same. They were inseparable best of friends even before marriage.
As the father of two young girls, one in elementary school and another in middle school, he was hopelessly devoted and their biggest cheerleaders, his wife said. The day after a shooting left 31-year-old Kenneth Pickell dead in his neighbor’s driveway, the victim’s mother said what led to the suspected gunman opening fire on her son remains a mystery.
Leanne Pickell said she just bought the home in the 3100 block of Clifton Avenue this past November. Her son moved in with her after living in Maine for about three years, she said.
It’s unclear why Kenneth Pickell moved to Bethlehem from Maine; the phone disconnected after a lehighvalleylive.com reporter asked the question.
