HOLYOKE, Colo. A suspect who lead officers on a high-speed chase in eastern Colorado died after the suspect s car became stuck in a snow-covered creek bed and gunshots were heard from the vehicle, a release from the Holyoke Police Department (HPD) says.

PHILLIPS COUNTY, Colo. â A suspect died following a police shooting in northeast Colorado Monday evening.
On Dec. 28 at 10:44 p.m. around the intersection of S. Sherman Avenue and Phillips County Road 20, officers with the Holyoke Police Department attempted to stop a suspect who had an outstanding felon warrant and was driving a vehicle.
The driver was speeding as he or she fled from officers along County Road 20, according to police.
With the help of a Phillips County Sheriff s Office deputy, Holyoke police pursued the driver.
