An inaugural festival celebrating literature, arts, the landscape and community will be held in the Mackenzie later this year. The Mackenzie Book and Art Festival, create. will take place on September 17 to October 3, with 40 events, aiming to ‘’bring the community together, attracting people from all over the country to our beautiful district and have a world-class celebration of New Zealand’s artists and authors’’, a release from festival organisers says.
