He felt things werent going right. Reporter buchanon called the suicide help line worried about her future soninlaw. Then, there was a 911 call saying someone was locked inside an upstairs bedroom. It was watkins who called 911 and it was his way of calling for help. The radio captured tense moments when they arrived. Male walking towards us. Reporter they ordered him to drop the weapon, so he fired. Shots fired they shot him. And i begged the policemen not to shoot him. That he needed help. They could have tazed him. Reporter watkins was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. A Police Spokesperson says the officers were in fear for their life and they are trained to stop a threat.
