A Connecticut police department's investigation revealed that the man, who was said to be driving under the influence, cut off a police officer driving with their lights on.
A man was allegedly over the legal drinking limit and had cannabinoids in his system during a fatal crash earlier this month when he cut in front of a Vernon police officer who was responding to another officer’s urgent call for assistance, police said.
Police say Phillip Vargas, 33, of Vernon, was under the influence when he crashed into a local cop car, killing his fiancée, Bianca Colon, a Bridgeport native.
