Alibaba will be building its first data center in the Philippines.
The Alibaba Cloud data center in PH will be the company’s fourth in Southeast Asia. It follows the one already up in Singapore, as well as in Indonesia and Malaysia.

Alibaba Group subsidiary Alibaba Cloud made the announcement last June 8, Monday. The company said that it plans to start building its first data center in the Philippines by the end of 2021.
For those unfamiliar, Alibaba Cloud offers cloud-based computing, security, machine learning, database, and data analytics.
Placing a dedicated center in the Philippines will improve the working efficiency of its users within the region.
