During the UniTeam's online miting de avance (advanced meeting) with OFWs on Friday night, Marcos said there is a need for the next administration to properly recognize the contributions of the country's modern-day heroes. He said the government should always repay the sacrifices of OFWs. The Overseas Workers Welfare Administration said it has begun paying back hotels and other service providers that took part in the repatriation of overseas Filipinos amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
