Oral health care services will soon be part of the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) package under the Universal Health Care (UHC) Law to improve the oral health of Filipinos.
MALASIQUI, Pangasinan-Some 24,429 individuals from Ilocos Region are set to take the Civil Service Examination pen-and-paper test scheduled on March 26 this year. Civil Service Commission (CSC) Ilocos Region chief human resource specialist Jerwin Linsangan, in a forum hosted by Philippine Information Agency Ilocos regional office, on Friday said of the total number of examinees, 6,963 are from Western Pangasinan, 3,212 in Ilocos Norte, 4,659 in Ilocos Sur, 5,110 in La Union, and 4,485 in Eastern Pangasinan. "For those who will take the exam, they just have to wait for the notice if they would still need antigen result for the unvaccinated or (if) they would still need to present a health declaration form," he said. In a virtual forum hosted by the Philippine Information Agency Ilocos on Friday, PDEA Ilocos regional information officer Mariepe De Guzman said some 508 barangays, or 15.55 percent are still drug-affected. She said of the total number of drug-cleared barangays, 1,089 are in Pangasinan, 456 in La Union, 465 in Ilocos Sur, and 411 in Ilocos Norte while some 183 in Pangasinan, 45 in La Union, 166 in Ilocos Sur, and 114 in Ilocos Norte are the drug-affected barangays that are yet to be cleared. DAR Ilocos regional office director Primo Lara said the agency has been implementing since three years ago the zero backlog program introduced by then DAR Secretary John Castriciones.
