The call was made as the nation marks the International Day Against Illegal Drugs and Illicit Trafficking (IDADAIT) on Saturday. “Say no to illegal drugs and help the country become drug free,” the DSWD said in a statement.

The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) denounced Thursday night the report of International Criminal Court (ICC) Prosecutor Fatou Bensouda, who stated that there is a reason to believe that abusive acts are committed in the Philippines’ fight against illegal drugs.

In a statement, DILG Secretary Eduardo Año insisted the report is “false, biased, and without factual and legal basis.”
“As the report itself admits, Ms. Bensouda is still conducting a preliminary investigation and no criminal investigation or proceeding has been conducted in the ICC proper,” Año.
