Carriages Café, at Newark Castle Station, put together 20 bags of candles, hand creams and soaps ­— all supplied by businesses. The bags also come with the book Explore, Expand, Engage by Philippa Bottrill — fitting the theme of helping each other through the coronavirus lockdown. The well-being bags being distributed by Carriages Cafe. (44438482) Project creator Wendy Baird said she hoped to deliver 50 bags by the middle of March. “We thought it would be quite a nice thing to put these feel-good packs together,” she said. “It comes with a CD that has wonderful songs about not giving up and continuing to be positive.”
