A domestic violence offender with an eight-page criminal record repeatedly kicked a door and argued with his mother after she accidentally locked him outside.
The man, who cannot be named for legal reasons, pleaded guilty on May 28 in Rockhampton Magistrates Court to one count of breaching a domestic violence order.

Police prosecutor Brandy Butler said police attended the mother’s address at 2.20am on June 21 and the mother told police the defendant had been drinking, they got into a verbal argument and after being locked outside, he repeatedly kicked the door.
She said the defendant was located at the mother’s address.
A magistrate has told a domestic violence offender “studies show male brains don’t mature until they are 30” after the offender punched his victim and threatened to “have her teeth kicked in”.
The woman walked to the front of a unit and the man accelerated, wheels spinning in the gravel with the rear wheels losing traction, and then drove five metres towards the victim.

He was then illuminated by police torches as he urinated in public before fleeing to the riverbank where he was arrested.
