The Alliance on Surviving COVID-19 and Beyond, a coalition of labour movements and over 70 civil society groups led by human rights lawyer, Mr Femi Falana (SAN), has blamed the Nigerian Railway Corporation for the deaths of six people who died in a collision between a train and a government bus in Lagos on March 9, 2023. This was disclosed in a statement signed by Falana and made available to SaharaReporters on Thursday morning. In the statement, ASCAB asked the NRC and BRT management to pay compensatory damages to bereaved families.
