Our first speaker this morning is peter carmichael. Peter is the robert c. Flour professor of civil war studies at Gettysburg College and cwi hats around this morning its wonderful to see those here. He holds his, ph. D. From Penn State University where he had the fortune to study under gary gallagher. He is the author or editor of five books, including the last generation Young Virginians in peace, war and reunion published by unc press in 2005. He is one of the series editors for unc presss civil war america series and i know him best through this capacity. He was my editor for midnight in america and i can tell you his thoughtfulness, careful attention to detail and his generosity resources made my book a better book

About . Good afternoon. Lots of wind this afternoon. The winds are strong already and theyre only going to get higher and stronger for this afternoon. Lets take a look at the video from mclean, virginia earlier today lots of snow out there. The snow squalls are coming on in with the strong northwesterly wind and its coming over and bringing low visibility. This will continue this afternoon. Some areas are seeing that sunshine and the strong wind like were seeing right now outside the weather terrace. Then you get these moments of a little bit of snow through manassas and farther south. Doppler 9000 is showing green indicating rain. This is going to come downing as snow. Its just so cold down as snow. Its just so cold up there. This will move off quickly through the south and east.
